"The Artist Within" is a collaborative effort with Kevin Johnson, an extremely talented pencil artist and dear friend. The work began with Kevin's color pencil self portrait, to which I then applied my polymer clay. This type of collaboration was new to both us and presented unique challenges which forced us each to reach deep within and, in the end, made us stronger, more confident artists.
